Look_London_Look

The artist uses the road signs on the streets of London to alter the order in which we usually get around the city. Beginning with the way the book is opened, a deliberate attempt is made to avoid a predictable, unilateral interpretation of urban space, by simulating the randomness of a walk through the city that leads one to go around a corner by chance or on a whim or to cross over from one side of the road to the other. The reader is invited to interpret, view and recognize these typographic references, but under a fictional rearrangement that allows him to begin the tour wherever and however he wishes.
